Dear Vanessa,

Dear Vanessa,

@vanessabryant I know you may never see this blog post, but I am still compelled to write to you.  There are no words that I can express that can ease your pain, but I want you to know that you have thousands upon thousands of prayer warriors that are going to battle for you.  We are praying without ceasing that God will give you a peace that passes all understanding. We are laying it on the altar because only the God we serve can carry you, Natalia, Bianka, Capri and the rest of the Bryant Family through the labyrinth of your grief.   My sister, although the road to your new normal may seem long and weary, please know that your sanity is within the folds of your faith. Hold on to it, because there is most certainly a balm in Gilead.

Your girls will see the strong queen that you are. Along with you, they will slowly but surely make it out of this hell and back to joy. There is a song by God’s Property from Kirk Franklin’s Nu Nation album, called “More than I Can Bear.”  If this is not already on your playlist, please listen to the lyrics of this song. I pray that it gives you comfort and a lifeline. I love you with the love of Christ.

Wearing my truth,

Initial B
